LOCAL BASS FISHING TOURNAMENT TO BENEFIT
ST. JUDE CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL
ARLINGTON, VA—May 30, 2002 -- The Sixth Annual St. Jude Mid-Atlantic Open Bass Team Tournament will be held on Friday, July 12, 2002 on the Potomac River in Northern Virginia. The launch site will be Leesylvania State Park near Potomac Mills Mall. Close to 200 teams are expected to compete in this tournament. First place is $1500 cash plus prizes. Second through 20th place will receive cash and prizes. A $1000 big bass pot will also be available.
Registration will take place from 4:30 am - 6 am on tournament morning and boats will leave in flights starting at 6 am and will begin to return at 2:30 pm. The awards ceremony will follow weigh-in that afternoon. Registration is $200 with an optional $20 per team big bass pot.
