The result is a hat that is light, allows plenty of airflow, and is surprisingly comfortable to wear. The hat is made from a polyester blend fabric, with an internal mesh liner that is designed to wick away sweat and moisture. The brim provides plenty of sun protection with 2 ¾ inches around the front and sides and extends out further in the back at 3 ½ inches for extra protection for the neck.
The Cruiser has 2 different adjustable cords built into the hat. One located at the back of the head to make adjustments for sizing and one underneath the chin to keep the hat from accidentally falling off.
These straps are easy to adjust, and I was able to get a fit I was happy with in less than a minute or two.
I’ve been very happy with the Cruiser hat. It fits nicely and it does an excellent job at blocking out the sun. Standing in direct sunlight the brim provides plenty of shade for the eyes. I haven’t felt any extra heat coming through the air vents at the top of the crown like I have with other hats.
I haven’t experienced any irritating head itch or negative side effects after wearing the Cruiser for hours hiking or fishing.
